Website statistics

We measure page views, referring website names, device categories and clicks on video and external links to understand how the site is used. We do not put names, email addresses, raw IP addresses, full referral URLs or search query strings into these statistics.

This website uses a random anonymous identifier in browser storage for up to 30 days, and a visit identifier that resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. Statistics remain on our website infrastructure. Event history is retained for 180 days. Browsers sending Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are excluded.

Mailing list

If you submit the mailing-list form, we store the email address and optional name you provide, along with your consent. Joining our website list does not automatically subscribe you on Substack. Contact Simon through Excession Events about your information.

Video and external services

YouTube embeds, Buzzsprout audio, LinkedIn, Substack and other external services have their own privacy practices when you use them.
